“Aestheticly influenced by renaissance painting, objet d´art and contemporary spiritual movements I’m now showing the pieces First and Second Haven. First Haven is a museumlike piece with no other function than to carry art. A rickety wooden framework decorated with patterns, relief and dreamy paintings. Around it’s legs are sculptural fires and in the top a black ceramic tree. The deliberate handmade construction reminds the viewer of the realities of life outside these refuges from reality.”
Extract from the press release of First and Second Haven, my third solo exhibition and it was shown in Gallery Inger Molin in 2007.
